Scotland's links with Africa are long-standing. To strengthen these bonds, First Minister Jack McConnell and Tom Hunter of the Hunter Foundation have jointly launched the Scottish Schools Africa Challenge.
The national competition is open to teams from S1-S3 from every secondary school to submit a piece of work that demonstrates the value of education, both in this country and in Africa.
The closing date was Thursday 31st March and the results will be announced on Friday 15th April 2005.
